YOUNGER CHILDREN
(AGED 4-7 YEARS)
Younger children are taught to read using a structured, but flexible, phonics course. The love of reading, combined with the ability to read fluently, is a springboard from which all children are able to gain independence, happiness and joy.
Equally, maths and number work is taught in a fun and purposeful way, allowing children to ask questions, listen to answers and postulate the next steps.
BOOSTER LESSONS
With one-to-one expert guidance, children who lack confidence are able to make significant progress in maths and English.
Undoubtedly, mastery of the 3 Rs (reading, writing and arithmetic) enable children to succeed in secondary school; the basics support higher learning.
SPECIAL EDUCATIONAL NEEDS
Children on the autism spectrum, or who have learning difficulties, are skilfully catered for with lessons structured to celebrate the importance of difference: it is from difference true learning flows. Openness and indiscrimination are all important values we share.
